*Borrow up to €80,000 if the loan is fully covered by credit union savings, borrow up to €60,000 if the loan is not fully covered.

Warning: If you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating which may affect your ability to access credit in the future. We aim to assess each and every loan application as quickly and efficiently as possible. We would like to remind members that the quicker we receive all the required documentation in support of a loan application, the quicker the loan application can be assessed. Each loan application is reviewed by assessing a number factors, including how long the applicant has been a member of the credit union, what their previous savings and loan account history has been and a demonstration of their ability to repay, and as part of the new regulatory regime we are also required carry out credit checks with the Central Credit Register (for more information about the CCR please go to https://www.centralcreditregister.ie/). In the case where an individual is proposing a guarantor, we must also carry out a similar evaluation of the guarantor’s ability to repay the loan in the event that the Member gets into financial difficulty. We do this in order to protect each and every one of our Members’ savings. We will always encourage Members’ who may find themselves in financial difficulty after taking out a loan to engage with us as soon as possible so that we can work with them in coming up with a solution.
