• Not-For-Profit - Kilcloon Credit Union is not-for-profit co-operative and operates solely for its Members’ benefit and to meet their financial needs;
• Flexible Loans - Members can apply for flexible loans as soon as they join, and repay based on tailor-made schedules;
• Low Cost Borrowing- Members can borrow a low cost loan on very competitive terms for home improvements, cars, education costs or any other “provident” purposes;
• Members can apply for a loan from the comfort of their own home using our Online Loan Applications - 100% digital online loans from application, to signature, to transferring the money to you;
• Members own Shares (savings), with 1 share equal to €1, this means that our Members own shares of the Credit Union & are entitled to vote at our Annual General Meeting;
• No Fees - there are no hidden fees, charges or penalties;
• Standing Orders - Members can arrange for a Standing Order payment from their bank account to ensure regular payments to their Credit Union accounts;
• Electronic Transfers - Members can make electronic payments out of and into their accounts using our online transaction facility;
• Online Account View - Members have the ability to access their accounts online, to view account balances and print statements;
• Savings Protection* - shares are covered by a life savings protection insurance scheme, at no cost to the Member, which means that should a Member die their savings can be doubled, subject to certain terms & conditions;
• Loan Protection* - loans are also covered by a loan protection insurance scheme at no cost to the Member, which means that should you die your loan dies with you, subject to certain terms & conditions;
• Dividends - any surplus that remains after regulatory provisioning is made and other essential business expenses are met in any year can be shared with our Members in the form of an annual dividend;
• Board of Directors - the Members run the Credit Union through the Board of Directors which is elected by the Members at the Annual General Meeting;
